A Special Event for the Animal Rescue League of Boston—Dec. 2nd!

Hey friends! It's finally arrived…it's been creeping up on us, but this week it's actually here! If you were thinking "the holiday season?" you'd be right! (If you were thinking "Freezing temperatures? Hot chocolate? Down coats?" you'd also be correct…but let's stick with "the holidays" for now!) With Thanksgiving coming up this week and Hanukkah, Christmas and other holidays following soon after, the most special time of year has arrived. Personally, I can't wait to stuff my face with deliciously filling food and spend time with my favorite people across several different states!

This time of year always prompts me to think of other things besides just my own comfort though. I always think of where everyone without homes or safe places to stay will go. And not just people—animals too. Abandoned and stray animals tug at my heart strings like no other. If I could open my own animal sanctuary right now, I totally would! Since I live in a city apartment that doesn't allow pets however, I'm helping the animals in a different way this year, and I hope you'll join me!

If you have a couple free hours on Dec. 2nd, then come out to Boston to mingle, sip some wine, and enter a raffle for awesome prizes! If you have a dog at home, bring them out with you to have me take their holiday photo (doggy hats and antlers will be involved)! Tickets are only $10, and proceeds will go to support the Animal Rescue League of Boston. ARL Boston rescues domesticated animals and wildlife from suffering, cruelty, abandonment and neglect. They receive no public funding and rely solely on the generosity of individuals like yourself to help animals in need.

Here are all the details:

  • Who: Me, you, and animal lovers of Boston (bring a friend!)
  • What: Drawing party for raffle prizes, wine sipping, and dog holiday photos taken by me!
  • Where: 141 Dorchester Avenue Boston MA 02127
  • When: 12/2/15, 6:30-8:30pm
  • Why: To support ARL Boston!

The BEST part (besides helping the animals of course) is prints of your dog's photos will be available for purchase soon after the event! If that isn't the best holiday gift for the furbaby lover in your life, I don't know what is!

To see the full list of raffle prizes available (including one from yours truly), visit the Facebook event and RSVP! There are some good ones in there!

If you have a friend who you think would be interested in this event, please share this post with them! I can't wait to see you and your pooch at the drawing party! Happy early Thanksgiving!
