Andrea and Scott met and started dating while they were both students at Northeastern University (go Huskies!) and the rest is history. They’ve been together over 10 years now (#goals! That’s even longer than me and my husband)! In that time they have traveled the world and made countless memories together. After experiencing all that with someone special, at a certain point you just know that it’s right and that it’s time to pop the question! ❤️
When Andrea and Scott were planning their engagement session with me, they said it was very important to them to incorporate their two dogs with them for part of the time, so I was super excited for that! I love animals and incorporating your pets into your photo session is a great way to bring in personality and lots of natural smiles! At the same time, it’s great to also have some photos of just the two of you without the pets, so Andrea and Scott had a helpful friend come meet them at their session (very early in the morning!) and take the dogs. That way they could have lots of relaxed photos of just the two of them and not having to worry about if the dogs were ok!
Andrea and Scott decided on a sunrise session—It worked for their schedule, it makes for BEAUTIFUL light as you’ll see below, and if you want to run around the city and not have tons of people or cars in the background of your photos, sunrise is always the way to go. Since the weather and the light were working so well, I got a little experimental with some of their photos too!
All in all, we had an amazing session starting at Northeastern, then walking around the Boston Public Garden, and then after an outfit change we stopped at Acorn Street in Beacon Hill and wrapped up over some coffee at a nearby cafe. It was jam packed but had all the variety our hearts desired!
I was so happy to get this super sweet email from Andrea after they received their photos:
“I cannot tell you how much I stinking love all these photos. If there were any questions about you being the perfect match for us (which there was not) this would have erased all the questions. These are exactly what we were hoping for and more. You caught so many wonderful moments and the pups look so gorgeous as well. I just love them all. Thank you so much! We cannot wait to see what comes of our wedding day!!”
